Seems like every time I say I'm not going to update for a while, I go on a blitz. Still, I probably won't be around for a bit, if only because I'm knee deep in the current Dirk & Steele -- that, and I have a short story due next week that I'm still fiddling with. Beautiful day out, though. The woods are finally budding green and the lilacs opened last night. A herd of deer passed through as well, and I'm sure they'll be back. Our place runs up against the Hoosier National Forest, so it's basically one big sanctuary up here.
And finally, as if I could resist: Optimus!

And finally, as if I could resist: Optimus!

The only way I can explain this sudden surge in activity is that some of the rodents who live in the basement and walls of this old farmhouse are playing dirty, dirty, tricks on their neighbors. Like telling them that it's quite safe to eat directly from the cat bowl because these are friendly predators and not at all inclined to commit acts of dismemberment. That, and playing inside the mouth of a cat is a great deal of fun if you would only try it once.
We'll see what happens tonight.
In other news, I would be horribly remiss if I did not inform my fellow Transformers fans that the voice of Megatron has now been found. And it is...Hugo Weaving! ::faints::
And this story here makes me want to put a pillow over my face and scream.
